Course Description
This course offers a foundation of knowledge in emotional intelligence (EI) and its functionality. Participants will gain historical understanding of the concept and how it can be currently practiced. This presentation will involve experiential components to reinforce how EI can be integrated into clinical practice to enhance one’s insight and awareness. Research has demonstrated that EI can be used to improve interpersonal relationships, emotion regulation, and one's sense of overall well-being.

Presenter Information:
Dr. William Marsh is a licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for experiential psychotherapy. He believes that internalized experiences lead to meaningful, lasting change. Dr. Marsh has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, youth and families, clinical program development, training, and consultation. Areas of particular clinical focus are working with people with ADHD, “behavioral concerns,” mood disorders, functional disorders and somatic concerns, as well as LGBTQ+ issues. In addition to his clinical experiences and practices, he is an adjunct professor and an invited speaker to multiple agencies, podcasts, and a guest-writer for local magazines.
